My blog is up and ready to go!

I am excited to begin this journal of knitting. I currently am knitting 2 dishcloths as part of KAL. these are such quick fun projects that are portable. I can eat lunch and still knit a few rows while at work. The quick fix seems to quiet my addiction until I can relax and get lost in my knitting as I watch TV in the evening. I am going to start on the summer sweater in linen for Suzy (DD - 28). It is striped and knitted in the round and I had a lot of trouble with it when I tried it last summer. I will try it again and have read about how to avoid holes when changing colors and how to avoid jogs in the stripes when knitting in the round. I will also have ot carry the colors as I knit. All these techniques are new to me. I have made many socks in the round but never done stripes or color work. This slhould be an excellent learning project. I just hope to have it done for her to wear this summer!!
